SNAP goes by different names in different states
Your state may call it CalFresh (California), Basic Food (Washington), FoodShare (Wisconsin), 3SquaresVT (Vermont), Food and Nutrition Services (North Carolina) or simply food stamps. They all count for Lifeline. Your EBT card shows you receive it, but a benefit letter is the better proof.

How do you get a free iPhone with SNAP?
The money behind an iPhone comes from Lifeline, a federal benefit administered by USAC under FCC rules. Each qualifying household can put a $9.25/month discount on one phone or internet service, or $34.25/month on eligible Tribal lands. Because a basic wireless plan costs providers less than that, most Lifeline plans are free to you.
