Veterans and surviving spouses who receive the VA's needs-based Veterans Pension or Survivors Pension qualify for Lifeline. Other VA benefits, such as disability compensation, don't qualify on their own but count toward the income test.

How do you get a free iPhone with Veterans Benefits?

Providers turn that subsidy into free talk, text and data, and many also include an iPhone to win your sign-up.
